This policy explains what information Ascend Paint Protection Film (“Ascend”, “we”, “us”) collects through ascendppf.com and the Ascend mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@ascendppf.com.
Information we collect
- Contact and order requests — name, email, phone, the product and option you ask about, and your message.
- App accounts — name, email, phone, ZIP code, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider) and contact preferences.
- Vehicles and quotes — year, make, model, VIN, license plate, mileage, paint condition, coverage choices, scheduling preferences and the vehicle photos you take or upload.
- Orders and payments — items, shipping address, order history, warranty registrations and claims. Card payments are processed by Square; we receive confirmation of payment, never your full card number.
- Dealer accounts — business details, team members, resale certificates, licenses, insurance certificates, W-9s and, if you apply for credit, application details and trade references.
- Ascend employees and contractors — driver’s license image for identity verification, signed agreements, and bank details for commission payouts.
- Device and newsletter — your email if you join the newsletter, and in the app a push notification token if you allow notifications. We do not use advertising identifiers or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
How we use it
- To answer requests, process orders and payments, ship film, schedule installs and handle warranty claims.
- To review dealer and credit applications, apply dealer pricing and pay employee commissions.
- To contact you about your account, orders and appointments, and — only if you opt in — news and promotions.
- To keep our services secure and prevent fraud.
AI color previews
If you use a color preview in the app, the vehicle photo you choose is sent to our AI image provider, fal.ai, to render Ascend film on your car. The app asks for your permission before the first preview. Photos and previews are stored in your Ascend account and are not used by us to train AI models.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run parts of Ascend for us: Supabase (database, sign-in, file storage), Vercel (website hosting), Square (payments), fal.ai (AI previews), Expo (app push notifications), Google (calendar booking) and our email provider.
- Certified installers assigned to your request, who receive the vehicle and contact details needed to do the work.
- Legal and safety — when required by law or to protect rights, property or safety.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
We keep account information while your account is open. Order, invoice, warranty and tax records are kept as long as accounting, warranty and legal obligations require, even after an account is deleted, but are disassociated from your personal profile.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your app account anytime: Account → Legal & support → Delete account. This removes your profile, vehicles, photos, bank details and saved addresses.
- Unsubscribe from emails with the link in any message, and manage app notifications in Account → Notification preferences.
- Ask for a copy, correction or deletion of your data at hello@ascendppf.com. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws can exercise the rights those laws give them, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role, and sensitive files (licenses, dealer documents, vehicle photos) are kept in private storage. No system is perfectly secure; contact us right away if you think your account was compromised.
Children
Ascend is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above. Material changes are announced on the site, in the app or by email.
